GW11 STATS SUMMARY

Team xG

2.59 - Bournemouth

2.29 - Brighton

2.21 - Man City

2.02 - Liverpool

1.83 - Spurs

Brighton with more xG in that game than Man City.

Spurs with a high xG but couldn’t convert.

Shots conceded

18 - West Ham

17 - Ipswich

17 - Arsenal

17 - Nottingham Forest

17 - Crystal Palace

West Ham conceded the most shots but kept a clean sheet.

Arsenal defence continues to struggle.

Player xG

1.38 - Haaland

1.00 - Darwin

0.99 - Delap

0.97 - Sarabia

0.96 - Evanilson

Evanilson could be a great budget forward option with Bournemouth’s nice fixture run.

Haaland owners unlucky again.

Player xA

0.64 - Iwobi

0.53 - Christie

0.52 - Neto

0.48 - Son

0.42 - Cunha

Son in the top 5 for the second week in a row.

Neto could be a nice budget option with Chelsea’s favourable fixtures.

Shots

7 - Haaland

6 - Darwin, Mateta

5 - Semenyo

4 - Madueke, DCL, Palmer, Nelson, Solanke, Son, Amad

Semenyo continues to take plenty of shots.

Madueke and Palmer are always high on this list.

Shots on target

3 - Haaland, Darwin

2 - 11 players

Haaland owners can consider themselves pretty unlucky despite getting one goal.

BEST BUDGET OPTIONS

DEFENDERS

Digne - £4.7m

Has been one of the best left backs in the league this season and has pretty much nailed down that spot.

Villa have a few nice fixtures coming up so I expect a clean sheet or two.

Hall - £4.4m

Appears to have locked down the left back spot at Newcastle now.

Newcastle also have some nice fixtures and Hall has good attacking numbers.

Kerkez - £4.4m

Has started every league game this season and is also putting up great attacking numbers.

Bournemouth have a great run of fixtures all the way to GW21.

MIDFIELDERS

Mitoma - £6.4m

Has blanked in his last 4 but Brighton’s fixtures are brilliant right up to GW19.

Mitoma should be safer for minutes than many of the other Brighton attackers over the busy Christmas schedule.

Madueke - £6.4m

Has also blanked in his last 4 but Chelsea’s fixtures are ridiculously good now.

A very greedy player which is exactly what we want from an FPL perspective.

Semenyo - £5.7m

As mentioned earlier, Bournemouth have a really nice run of fixtures.

Only Haaland has taken more shots than Semenyo this season.

FORWARDS

João Pedro - £5.5m

Came back from his injury with a bang against City in GW11 with 1 goal, 1 assist and 11 points in just 25 minutes.

He should get pretty good minutes as the manager has repeatedly said how important he is to the team.

Cunha - £6.8m

Wolves still have brilliant fixtures right up to GW19.

He should be on penalties although there is a chance that Sarabia potentially takes one.

Evanilson - £5.9m

The third Bournemouth player in this section so I won’t bore you with how good their fixtures are again.

Should play most games although Ãœnal is a slight minutes threat.

WILDCARD DRAFT

The key players I’d have on wildcard are:

GK: Fabianski

DEF: Gabriel, Hall, Digne, Aït-Nouri

MID: Salah, Palmer

FWD: Isak, João Pedro

I would most like have Verbruggen as the second GK, although I do like Raya too.

I wouldn’t go for Sels now as Forest’s fixtures aren’t the best.

I like an Arsenal double up in defence so either Timber or Saliba are great.

Other good budget options are Kerkez and Konsa.

I would probably start with one of Bruno or Mbeumo but not both as their fixtures turn in a few weeks.

If Saka is fit I’d start with him too and a budget mid of either Semenyo or Rogers.

The third forward could be a number of players.

My favourites are Cunha, Evanilson, Welbeck and Raul.

I wouldn’t go for Wissa or Wood due to their fixtures.

This is the draft that I would probably go for.

Although as I mentioned, I don’t mind going for double Arsenal defence and downgrading elsewhere.

CAPTAINCY

Captaincy is very close this week between Haaland and Salah with Palmer close behind in third.

Check out the video below for the top 10 players in my captaincy model.

MY TEAM SELECTION

This is how my team currently looks for GW12 and I’ve got a few decisions to make:

  • Trent to Gabriel?

  • Start Cunha or Raul?

  • Start Andersen or RAN

I discuss these in the below video.
