City and Haaland massively underperformed their xG this week.

Newcastle beginning to improve.

Player xG

2.33 - Haaland

1.42 - Wissa

1.21 - Isak

0.92 - Bowen

0.91 - Mbeumo

Bowen and Mbeumo’s numbers largely due to penalties.

Haaland triple captainers unlucky.

Cunha a fantastic budget forward with great fixtures coming up.

3 - Mbeumo, Wissa

Brentford attack impresses again.

WHAT TO DO WITH SOLANKE?

Solanke has been incredibly disappointing over the last couple of weeks.

Spurs have had good fixtures so it’s no surprise that he’s been popular.

However, he really hasn’t looked involved and the numbers back this up.

In the last two weeks, he’s taken 2 shots (neither in the box) and recorded 0 big chances.

Before this week, I was adamant on keeping him until after the IPS (H) fixture in GW11.

I now think it’s fine to move him on before.

He played 90 minutes in the EFL this week and looked absolutely exhausted after the game.

It’s still very likely that he starts against AVL given Spurs don’t play until Sunday but I wouldn’t be completed shocked to see him benched or subbed early.

Especially as Richarlison has had a few run outs since his return from injury now.

Therefore, I think he’s a viable sell with the best replacements being Cunha, Raul, Jackson and Darwin.

Darwin is much more of a short term option as Jota is due back after the international break but perfect if you’re planning to wildcard in GW12.

WHAT TO DO WITH GABRIEL?

Gabriel went off injured last weekend in Arsenal’s game against Liverpool.

He also didn’t feature in their midweek EFL cup game although there have been reports that he was in contention to feature.

We will probably have to wait for more information from Arteta on his injury, albeit we have to take everything he says with a pinch of salt.

If the reports about him being in contention to feature midweek are true then he is most likely fine for the weekend.

However, I still think he can be sold for those that don’t have much bench cover.

The next 2-3 fixtures aren’t the best and the Arsenal defence hasn’t been on top form recently.

My favourite replacements for Gabriel are Aït-Nouri and Lewis if you don’t already own them.

I also like Dalot for United’s nice run over the next 4 gameweeks.

CAPTAINCY

Captaincy is a bit closer this week than it has been in recent weeks.

Haaland, Salah and Palmer are the top 3 players in my captaincy model this week.

Check out the below YouTube video to see the order.

MY TEAM SELECTION

This is how my team currently looks with £0.2m in the bank and 1 free transfer.

My team isn’t in the best spot this week with the potential issues in Dunk, Eze, Gabriel and Son.

For that reason, I’m very likely to wildcard this week.

WILDCARD DRAFT

This is my current wildcard draft.

I talk through the reasoning for these picks and some other players that I’m considering in the below YouTube video.
